Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 July 2026.

Crookedstone House & Cattery ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Crookedstone House & Cattery is a cattery, offering boarding for cats, based in Aldergrove, Antrim, Northern Ireland. For any question about this policy or your personal data, contact us at diamondtrotters@hotmail.co.uk or +44 7901 578650.

What information we collect

We collect personal data when you:

  • Submit our contact form (name, email, phone number, message)
  • Make a cattery booking (your name, email, phone number, and details about your cat, including any medical or dietary information you choose to share)

How we use your information

We use your personal data to:

  • Respond to enquiries and process bookings
  • Provide appropriate care for your cat during their stay, including any medical or dietary needs
  • Send booking confirmations and important updates about your cat’s stay
  • Maintain records for accounting and legal purposes
  • With your consent, contact you about future availability or offers

Our lawful basis for processing this data is primarily performance of a contract (fulfilling your booking) and, for marketing communications, consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Sharing your information

We use the following third-party services to run our booking system and website, each of which processes data on our behalf under their own data protection obligations:

  • Supabase: secure database hosting for booking and contact records
  • Resend: sending transactional emails (booking confirmations, notifications)

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

How long we keep your data

We retain booking and customer records for as long as necessary to fulfil our contractual and legal obligations (including accounting requirements), and delete or anonymise data that is no longer needed. Contact form messages and unconverted leads are retained for a reasonable period to allow us to respond, and deleted thereafter unless you have booked with us.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data, where applicable
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at diamondtrotters@hotmail.co.uk.

Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies required for the site and booking system to function correctly. We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies.
